The constituent elements of the new school building comprise: (a) Double height main physical education hall (for school use), changing/storage/toilets at ground floor; fitness room at first floor level; (b) triple height general purpose element including assembly hall/dining area/kitchenette at ground floor and social spaces/circulation at first floor and second floor; (c) 3 no. three storey classroom elements including special needs classrooms/central activity spaces/associated accommodation, lecture and workshop rooms, administration and pastoral offices, meeting rooms and stores; (ii) Construction of a single two storey primary school building – Scoil Chormaic Community National School (4,368 sq.m gross floor area), with associated external signage. the constituent elements of the new school building comprise: (a) Double height general purpose assembly hall/dining hall (for school use), classrooms and administration offices at ground floor and staff room/toilets, library/meeting rooms at first floor. (b) Two storey classroom element including offices/group rooms/toilets and stores. (c) Single storey special needs units including class bases, central activities area, office and associated ancillary accommodation rooms. (iii) Site development works including vehicular/pedestrian & cycle access arrangements to provide car and bus set down spaces; 104 no. standard car parking spaces, 4 no. universally accessible car parking spaces and 198 no. cycle parking spaces (144 no. of which are covered), services access and yard. (iv) New outdoor grass playing pitch and 7 no. ballcourts. The proposed development also includes hard & soft landscaping (including boundary treatments, school garden and site attenuation), ESB substation (23.5 sq.m.) and associated site development and services works.
